I was honored with the 'Grand Festival Award' in the Berkeley Film Festival 2004 for 'CARMA'.
Currently in production of my latest short films 'Damn Tourists' and the 'Wingmen' series. Please buzz by the 'In Production' page to see more.
CARMA is a four minute short, written and directed by Brando Benaway, about a ticket happy Department of Parking and Traffic officer in San Francisco, who issues one too many parking tickets, and starts a chain reaction of random events that comes full circle to deliver the DPT officer some much deserved karma.
I was responsible for all of the modeling of characters and scene, lighting, texturing, animation, editing, sound design, and foley. This project started out as a simple school project, inspired by my true frustration with San Francisco's Department of Parking and Traffic. The original film idea for school was only 45 seconds, but with a strong foundation for a short film I decided to go back to it later and spend another year and a half cleaning it up and developing it further. I was absolutely honored to be showcased in several film festivals including the Berkeley Film Festival where I was awarded with the 'Grand Festival Award' under the animation short category.
